I hate to quote Bryan Adams but I’m going to 😉
His song is a rarity; it gets to the depths of feeling required to experience a deep connection.
To understand her you gotta know her deep inside
Hear every thought see every dream
N’ give her wings when she wants to fly
Then when you find yourself lyin’ helpless in her arms
Ya know ya really love a woman
That she’s really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she’s the one
‘Cause she needs somebody to tell her
That it’s gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really
Really really ever loved a woman?
Let her hold you
Til ya know how she needs to be touched
You’ve gotta breathe her really taste her
‘Til you can feel her in your blood
N’ when…
“Shall I confess it?- I believe in broken hearts, and the possibility of dying of disappointed love! I do not, however, consider it a malady often fatal to my own sex; but I firmly believe that it withers down many a lovely woman into an early grave. . . Man is the creature of interest and ambition. . . but a woman’s whole life is a history of the affections.”
- Rosemary Sullivan (from her book Labyrinthe of Desire which I wholeheartedly recommend)
Now deep down, men DO have access to their feminine essence. Because at the core of us, we are the same. We both have emotions, feelings, vulnerability, passion, creativity, and heart. It’s just that men are so forced into cutting themselves off from that part of themselves that they basically need to undergo a retraining of what it means to FEEL again.
It’s very sad but it’s the reality. And of course the opposite is also possible, and is probably even more fatal. A woman becoming obsessed with her career, prospects, money and masculine qualities will basically have no feminine healing energy to offer a man. And that is when he cheats or goes elsewhere for his dosage and battery charge of REAL WOMAN.
Here’s a great video of Bryan’s on this topic:
What other questions do you have on this topic? How can I help? Let me know 🙂
